My name is Cynthia Nirmala Lalite, and I was born in the San Fernando general hospital which is located in the southern part of the twin island state of Trinidad and Tobago.
I attended the school for blind children at Santa Cruz at an early age, where I was thought to read and write and also learned to play some musical instruments such as the piano, guitar and recorder.
I received a certificate from the ministry of education for excellence in my school work and music. Unfortunately, integration is not as it is now. I am now working at the Trinidad and Tobago Blind Welfare Association and is also the secretary of the Lions Pete One Club Branch.
I am married and have one son. My hobbies are: listening to religious music, researching health topics, computers and most of all helping those who are less fortunate.
I am now glad that I am given the opportunity to make a difference in persons' lives by announcing on High Energy FM, thanks to David La Caille and the team of the station.

Who am I, you ask? Well first I am the CEO and founder of High Energy FM, a station that I am very proud of.
I have been into broadcasting for a long time and I have worked with some of the best in the business.
I have worked with Julian Rogers and Selma Aiee, just to name a few, as well as the stations Classic 106 and Radio Gold.
I love music, horse back riding, canoeing, and blind criket-- I could go on and on and on. I love a challenge. I have also worked with some the best in the music business like Leston Paul, Kenny Phillips, and Shawn Butolamue.
Anyway, that's enough about me; want to know more about me? Just get to know me. I love meeting new people.

I was born April 17 1958. I developed eye problems very early in life and therefore attended the School for Blind Children, Santa Cruz Trinidad, from September 1964 – December 1974. Since the integration program was at the pilot stage, the opportunity to attend secondary school was not possible.
Immediately upon leaving school, I got into open employment as an announcer in a store using a P.A. system to encourage customers to make good the bargains available.
By May 1975, I hosted my first radio program in celebration of Founders Day which is a day recognizing work for the blind in Trinidad & Tobago, on Radio Trinidad. By June 30 I was a regular producer and presenter of a half hour music program every Wednesday night. This lasted until December 31, 1978. During that said period, I was also involved for a while selling advertisements for the fm frequency.
During the period 1985 – 1988, I also worked as a reporter for the Caribbean News Agency (CANA). I also hosted several programs on disability on several radio stations in Trinidad & Tobago over time to the present.
I am happy to be part of the team of CCV Radio and will use my experience and expertise to the benefit of the station.
I joined the Trinidad & Tobago Blind Welfare Association as a handicraft trainee in 1976 and remained as an employee until 1993. I also served that organization as a member of its council and various sub-committees between 1984 and 1994.
Other organizations in which I was involved were:
- T & T Congress of The Blind, 1976 to its end ten years later.
- The Sunshine Group for the Blind 1981—1987.
- The Ex-Pupils Association of the School for the Blind during the 90’s.
- Foundation member of the Trinidad & Tobago Chapter of Disabled Peoples International in 1985 where I served thereafter as an executive member for various periods.
- Foundation member of PAVI (Persons Associated with Visual Impairment) 1995. I served that organization in various capacities including that of president for two consecutive terms also secretary and public relations officer.
- Foundation member and president of the Trinidad & Tobago Blind Cricket Association since Inception in 2005 until the end of February 2010, when I resigned.
- First Secretary General of the West Indies Cricket Council for the Blind since inception 2005 to the present. Secretary General World Blind Cricket Council 2007 to the present.
I began attending annual general meetings of the Caribbean Council for the Blind since 1979 and over the period represented all of the blind organizations mentioned above at various times. Became an executive member since 1999 to the present and held various positions at the zone level.
I was also up until recently a director of the Consortium of Organizations in Trinidad and Tobago and president for the last two terms.
My involvement in organizations and tasks undertaken successfully over time, have not gone without some recognition. These include:
- A plaque from the Caribbean Council for the Blind 2003
- A special award from Guyelle TV Trinidad.
- PAVI for Advocacy.
- The West Indies Cricket Council for the blind for service and commitment.
- Trinidad & Tobago blind cricket association service and commitment.
- Disability Affairs unit of the Ministry of the People and Social Development for Advocacy. It should be noted that this award was presented on December 03 2010 in celebration of the International Day for Persons with Disabilities.
I am happily married to a woman who has a slight physical disability and together as a team we are the admiration of many.

Big Bob - Memory Lane
High Energy FM was looking for a presenter who was smart, had a good vocabulary, a sense of humor and had tons of charisma. Instead we got Big Bob, a native of Detroit, Motown , Michigan. Bob's Memory Lane show features "Old Time Rock & Roll" along with charted hits from the 50's 60's and 70's, including one hit wonders and covers. Bob's database contains charted tunes from a variety of popular groups.

Bob says, "We just don't play songs, we play memories. Before we had cell phones, before there were CD-ROMS, before microwave ovens dictated what we ate, and before SUV's emptied our wallets, wasn't life much simpler? If you remember the Motown Sound, Drive-in Movies, and Cruising your Main Street, then sit back, listen, enjoy, and reminisce with the tunes that will never die!"
